Indian residential consumers apply on the national rooftop portal, choose an empanelled vendor, and receive the central financial assistance directly in their bank account after inspection and net-meter installation. The subsidy is capped by system size, with roughly ₹78,000 available at 3 kW. Commercial and industrial systems are not eligible under the residential scheme.
