How do I detect underperformance early?

Detect underperformance by comparing actual specific yield in kWh/kWp/day against the design irradiance baseline every week. A sustained gap of 10% or more usually means new shading, heavy soiling, a failed or disconnected string, or a derated inverter. Monthly-only checks let a dead string run unnoticed and quietly cost a full season of generation.
